Technological Advancements in Interpreting: Tools, Trends, and Training
About the Journal
L10N Journal: Translation in Software, Software in Translation is a double-blind peer-reviewed, diamond open access, and international journal that is published bi-annually. L10N Journal publishes original and previously unpublished papers in localization, machine translation, CAT tools, post-editing, and new technologies in translation that open discussions on various issues of translation in software and on software in translation. The journal wants to create a bridge between theory and practice, and its aim is to show that technology plays an important role in translation and that translation is an important part of technology.
L10N Journal and the editorial team would like to project a positive image of technology in translation, as without it the face of modern translation would be different. We also want to highlight the necessity of translation in technology since otherwise users around the globe would not be able to use various software or play their favorite video games in their native language.
The individual issues of the journal will consist of approximately four papers, literature recommendations and reviews, and episodical sections such as interviews with localization scholars and practitioners. The primary language of the journal is English, but we accept and publish submissions in Slovak as well, where we will try to add article translations.
